Nick Walker is an events director, film critic and filmmaker who programmes, produces and presents events in North Kent, giving contextualised introductions and post-screening discussions to the films on offer.

The Other Cinema is a weekly showcase, at the Odeon Chatham Maritime, for quality films from around the world. After the screening there will be a discussion on the film over a FREE glass of wine

Screen Classics is a monthly celebration of classic cinema, at the Chatham Central Theatre. A great opportunity to see some of cinema’s classic films on the big screen, sometimes for the first time, often in newly restored prints.

Both events aim to provide a gentle platform for debate for an audience who both appreciate and enjoy groundbreaking cinema from around the world. Film fans in the Medway / North Kent area do not now have to travel as far afield as London or Canterbury to enjoy the best of current releases or great cinema classics on the big screen.

Currently Events Director at Film Education www.filmeducation.org and Director of National Schools Film Week www.nsfw.org [the worlds largest Festival for cinema and young people]. Nick studied Film at Westminster University and has previously worked for The Guardian www.guardian.co.uk/film and the London Film Festival www.lff.org.uk
